The revolutionary treatment in skin improvement, non-invasive with proven results.
Tixel is the revolutionary skin treatment that involves using a heated metallic plate that stamps onto the skin. This cosmetic technology is reducing the need for harmful resurfacing lasers in skin improvement.
This treatment has results in improving general skin quality, as well as reducing the appearance of:
Tixel vaporises channels in the skin (controlled damage) to stimulate collagen production in order to aid rejuvenation. The heat concentrates on the upper dermis of the skin, whilst still protecting the outer layer. The channels that Tixel forms can also be used to infuse products for a combined treatment and further changes to the skin.
“The Tixel is not a laser, but a novel device that uses thermo-mechanical energy to remodel and improve skin. It utilises a gold-plated metallic tip that is heated to 400 degrees celsius within a handpiece. This tip has 81 pyramid-shaped spikes that are pressed momentarily on to the skin with a highly accurate linear motor contained within the handpiece.” The Victorian Cosmetic Institute
This technique is non-invasive, as the pins on the Tixel device don’t protrude the skin physically, rather transfers heat to tissue by contact. This treatment is less painful and safer for clients, compared to CO2 lasers, with reduced downtime and faster healing for clients. As Tixel is not a laser device it is possible to treat around the eyes, close to the eyelash area, without causing injury to the eyes. There is also no risk of burns or charring of tissues, which is commonly associated with the previous technique for skin rejuvenation. Due to this, the Tixel can be recommended for a larger demographic of patients.
Clients have reported that the experience is that they felt much less pain, both during and after the treatment. It also reduced their recovery time from the usual seven, to one or two.
